JoyNotes Music Studio features the Musikgarten curriculum, a unique program of music and movement for young children which nurtures their musical aptitude, enjoyment and understanding in a developmentally appropriate sequence.

Why Movement?

Young children grow and develop as human beings in a "doing" environment. Movement should be a part of all experiences for children, for it is their natural mode of being, expression and learning. Moving to music and simple rhythmic songs comes naturally to young children. It energizes them and helps integrate sensory-motor experiences. Sensory-motor exploration forms and sustains their intellectual life. Why Music classes?

Music activities are ideal for your growing child. They promote the child's natural development in a fun and interactive manner. They help to attune the ear, refine the voice, and develop a rhythmic body through which music can be expressed. Additionally, instrumental activities are part of the program, and utilize simple rhythm instruments such as sticks and drums as well as jingles, shakers, sandblocks, and scarves.
